Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of laya.tools (the "Service"). By submitting a project, creating an account, subscribing to the newsletter or buying a paid placement you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Browsing the directory needs no account.
1. Who provides the Service
The Service is provided by:
Nielogiczny Karol Labuda Luzińska 2, 84-217 Zęblewo, Poland NIP 5882505100 · REGON 526924027 Contact: [email protected]
References to "we", "us" and "our" mean the above. "You" means the person or organisation using the Service.
laya.tools is an independent community directory. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ConvAI Innovations, the authors of Laya, or TypeSafe AI, the makers of Jev. Those names belong to their owners.
2. What the Service does
laya.tools lists projects built on or for the Laya decision model: repositories, packages, models, demos, guides and public posts. Most listings are collected automatically from public sources (GitHub, npm, Hugging Face and X) and checked before they go live. Authors can also submit and manage their own listings.
Information on laya.tools, including star counts, benchmarks quoted from other people and AI-assisted summaries, is provided for orientation. We do our best to keep it accurate but do not guarantee it, and we are not responsible for third-party projects we link to.
3. Accounts
You sign in with a single-use link we email you; there is no password. Keep access to your inbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. You must be at least 16 years old, or old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
4. Submitting and claiming a listing
When you submit or claim a project you confirm that it is yours or that you are authorised to list it, and that what you write about it is accurate. Listings must be genuinely related to the Laya model.
We review listings and may accept, edit (for example categories or obvious errors), decline or remove them. We will not list malware, scams, projects that infringe someone else's rights, or content that is illegal or abusive.
You keep all rights to your project, texts, logo and screenshots. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, resize and reproduce them on laya.tools, in our newsletter and in posts promoting the listing, for as long as the project is listed. You can ask us to remove your listing at any time.
5. Links and the badge
Links from laya.tools to listed projects are "nofollow" by default. A listing's link is "dofollow" while one of the following applies:
- Free listing with badge: the "Listed on laya.tools" badge links to laya.tools from the project's README or website. We check for it when you submit and again regularly. If the badge is removed, the link goes back to nofollow.
- One-time listing: you paid the one-time fee (section 6).
- Featured: during an active Featured placement.
We do not promise any particular search ranking or traffic as a result of a listing or a link.
6. Paid services
Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your card details.
- One-time listing: the listing skips the review queue, goes live once the payment clears and keeps a dofollow link for as long as the project is listed, without a badge. We may still remove a listing that breaks section 4.
- Featured: the project is pinned above organic results and highlighted for the number of weeks you bought, starting when the payment clears. Buying more weeks while a placement is active extends it. Featured projects are included in the next issue of the newsletter.
If you leave the checkout without paying, your listing is saved and waits for payment. It does not go live until you pay or, for a free listing, add the badge.
7. Right of withdrawal and refunds
If you are a consumer in the European Union you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because paid services start as soon as the payment clears, when you pay you expressly ask us to begin immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If a Featured placement has only partly run when you withdraw, we refund the unused part in proportion.
Beyond your statutory rights, we refund a payment in full if we decline or remove a paid listing for any reason other than a breach of these Terms, and we extend or refund a Featured placement in proportion if laya.tools was unavailable for a significant part of it. Write to [email protected].
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit spam, fake, misleading or duplicate listings, or automate submissions;
- try to get around the badge check, the review process, rate limits or bot protection;
- scrape laya.tools in a way that burdens the Service (reasonable crawling by search engines is welcome);
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, listings or the systems that run the Service;
- use the Service to break the law or infringe someone else's rights.
We may suspend accounts or remove listings that break this section, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
9. Third-party content and removal requests
Projects, posts, names, logos and avatars shown on laya.tools belong to their authors. If you believe content on laya.tools infringes your rights, or you are the author of a project or post and want it changed or removed, write to [email protected] with a link to it. We act on valid requests promptly.
10. Availability
We aim to keep the Service running but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, outages of the services we rely on (such as hosting, Cloudflare, Stripe or the public sources we import from) and other factors outside our control can interrupt it. Section 7 covers Featured placements affected by downtime.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud and the statutory rights of consumers. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost rankings, lost data or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising out of the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. The Service is otherwise provided "as is".
12. Complaints
Send complaints to [email protected] with a description of the problem. We respond within 14 days. Consumers in the EU may also use the out-of-court dispute resolution bodies available in their country.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material we will email registered users at least 14 days before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when the Terms were last changed. Changes do not affect placements you already paid for.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live. Disputes are subject to the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law.
